Unlike the ordinary alphabet, the Shavian alphabet is designed to match the sounds of spoken English. When you read a word in Shavian, you know how to say it, and when you hear a word, you know how to spell it.
These lessons should teach you the basics of reading Shavian. If you're interested in using Shavian yourself, this will give you a good grounding in reading the alphabet. Even if you want to criticise Shavian, these lessons will tell you what you're criticising!
